Drive to Gunitsawa and trek 9 km through forests along Paro Chhu to Shingkarap campsite (3110m).
Overnight at camp.
Trek 15 km along Pachu River through pine, oak, and rhododendron forests to campsite at 3670m.
Overnight at camp.
Trek 17 km above tree line to Jangothang (4040m), passing yak herder settlements and enjoying stunning views of Mount Jumolhari and Jichu Drake.
Overnight at camp.
Acclimatization hike to view Mount Jichu Drake and Jumolhari or optional excursion to Tshophu Lakes (4400m).
Overnight in Jangothang.

Trek 19 km along Mo Chhu valley, climb Yaklay La Pass (4942m), and descend to Shodu campsite (4100m).

Visit National Memorial Chorten, Kuenselphodrang Buddha Statue, Takin Preserve, then drive to Punakha via Dochu La Pass.
