Arrive in Paro, where crisp mountain air and sweeping valley views set the tone for your journey. Upon landing, you’ll be greeted by your guide before beginning a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s vibrant capital.
The day is kept light to help you adjust to the altitude. Settle into your hotel, enjoy your first Bhutanese meal, and, if time allows, head out for a gentle introduction to the city.

Today marks the beginning of your Himalayan adventure. Starting from Sang Choekor Buddhist College, the trail gradually climbs through pine forests and ridgelines adorned with prayer flags.
The trek offers ever-changing views—lush valleys below and distant snow peaks ahead. Along the way, pass quiet temples and sacred sites before reaching a high meadow near Bumdra Monastery.
Spend the night in this serene setting, surrounded by mountains and silence.
Trek Details:
Route: Sang Choekor (2,800m) to Bumdra camp (3,800m)
Duration: 3–4 hours (plus optional 2–3 hour hike to a higher viewpoint)
Difficulty: Moderate to challenging
Wake up to panoramic Himalayan views before beginning your descent through forests of pine and rhododendron. The trail gradually reveals one of Bhutan’s most iconic sights—Taktsang Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliffside.
As you approach, the monastery appears almost suspended in the air. A final series of steps leads you into this sacred space.
Steeped in legend, Taktsang is believed to be where Guru Padmasambhava meditated after arriving on a flying tigress. Today, it stands as a powerful spiritual symbol and a highlight of any Bhutan journey.
Your journey comes to a close with a transfer to Paro International Airport. Depart with a sense of calm, unforgettable memories, and a deeper connection to Bhutan’s culture and landscapes.
