Day 1 Arrival in Paro
Welcome to Bhutan the Land of the Thunder Dragon Upon arrival at Paro International Airport you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel Spend the day relaxing and adjusting to the altitude while enjoying the fresh mountain air and scenic views of Paro Valley
Day 2 Paro Sightseeing
Visit the historic ruins of Drukgyal Dzong built in the 17th century to mark Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan forces
Hike through pine forests to the viewpoint of Taktsang Monastery and admire its dramatic cliffside location
Explore Kyichu Lhakhang one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples
Return to Paro for dinner and overnight stay
Day 3 Trek Begins Paro to Jele Dzong 3450m
Drive to the starting point and meet your trekking crew
Begin the ascent through pine forests and apple orchards with beautiful valley views
Pass a small monastery along the trail
Reach Jele Dzong an ancient fortress located on a ridge
Camp overnight near the dzong
Day 4 Jele Dzong to Tsokam 3780m
Walk along a scenic ridge with views of valleys and distant mountains
Pass through rhododendron and conifer forests
Enjoy a steady and peaceful trek
Arrive at Tsokam a quiet meadow surrounded by forest
Camp overnight
Day 5 Tsokam to Jimilang Tsho 3880m
Follow a ridge trail with panoramic Himalayan views
Pass remote campsites and mountain landscapes
Reach Jimilang Tsho a beautiful high altitude lake
Enjoy the peaceful setting and camp by the lakeside
Day 6 Jimilang Tsho to Simkotra Tsho 4050m
Walk along the lake and continue climbing into higher terrain
Pass several smaller alpine lakes
Enjoy stunning mountain views and untouched nature
Arrive at Simkotra Tsho and camp near the lake
Day 7 Simkotra Tsho to Phajoding then Thimphu
Trek across gentle ridges with views of Thimphu Valley
Descend through forests towards Phajoding Monastery
Continue downhill to the road point
Drive to Thimphu and check into your hotel
Day 8 Explore Thimphu
Visit Tashichho Dzong the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body
Explore the National Memorial Chorten a place of daily prayer
Visit the School of Arts and Crafts to see traditional skills
Browse local markets and handicraft shops
Enjoy a relaxed evening in the capital
Day 9 Departure
Transfer to Paro International Airport after breakfast
Depart Bhutan with unforgettable memories of the Himalayas culture and the Druk Path Trek
